Adorable Youngs
***
Psalm 127:3
Don't you see that children are God's best gift?
The fruit of the womb His generous legacy?
Like a warrior's fistful of arrows are
the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
with your quivers full of children!

The Quintessential Summer Dessert!
This is my quick go-to dessert recipe for any occasion!
I love anything I can serve in my glass trifle bowl -
it is always a beautiful presentation and the
possibilities are endless!
Anything you can layer or stack can be
put effortlessly in this marvelous dish.

Strawberry Trifle
Pound Cake - cut into cubes (homemade or from your grocery store)
Whipped Cream
2 quarts Fresh Strawberries
2 pkg. Frozen Strawberries in Syrup (thaw)
*
Homemade Whipped Cream
1 quart heavy whipping cream
1/4 c - 1/2 c sugar
Place your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer until nice and cold.
Make sure your cream is very cold as well!
Pour cream into bowl and add sugar - beat with mixer until stiff peaks form.
Wala - delectable homemade whipped cream!
*
Reserve 7-8 fresh strawberries for garnish.
Slice the remaining strawberries and place in a bowl.
Add 1/2 c sugar and allow to sit until nice and juicy!
Mix thawed strawberries in syrup with the fresh ones.
*
In the bottom of your trifle bowl place a scoop of strawberries to cover.
Layer the following 3 times - ending with whipped cream on top:

Name Legacy ~ Thomas

Thomas Charles Young, Jr.
*
I love to research names and find the true meaning of what that name represents.
The best part is coordinating what God says in His Word to each person's name.
A name is synonymous for an individual person ~ it is what you are known by -
your very essence, character and designation.
When someone speaks your name - even if you are not present -
it invokes a thought, an image and a feeling - it is your recognition.
Every Wednesday I would like to showcase a
new wondrous word ~ a name legacy!
This week I am starting with my beloved husband ~
Thomas Charles.

Thomas Charles
Double Portion
Two-Fold Blessing
favor - prosperous - increase - multiplied
*
Strength
honor - might - power - victory
favor - magnificence - splendor
*
Isaiah 61:7
Therefore in your land Thomas Charles,
you shall possess double, everlasting joy shall be yours!
*
Zechariah 9:12b
…Even today I declare that I will restore double to you Thomas Charles.
*
Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
He bestows favor and honor on Thomas Charles.
No good thing does the Lord withhold from him who walks uprightly.

My husband is a double portion blessing of
strength, honor, victory and magnificence.
He is prosperous and powerful and everything
he endeavors to do for the Lord will
multipy and increase!
He also has a double portion of God's favor!
Part of the meaning of both Thomas and Charles is FAVOR!
Favor means to be pleased with, take pleasure in,
think highly of, esteem in high regard, obtain approval,
show kind regards towards, demonstrate good will
support and endorse!

The Wonder Baby

The octopus of our life...

Today our little Gabriella Grace is 21 months old!

I am posting pictures from when she turned 8 months and was overcome with her octopi!

Gabriella was born on 08-08-08

She weighed 8lbs. 8oz.

We were married 18 years when she was born!

Gabriella is my parents 8th grandchild!

She collects 8-legged octopi!

The number 8 = New Beginnings

Gabriella is the bright-spot and pure sunshine!
She is a reminder of God's promises and all of His goodness!
For so many years - 18 - she was not a part of our life and
then all of a sudden the Lord blessed us with a surprise!
Now we cannot imagine life without her effervescent presence!

CONCETTA'S RECIPES

The Kitchenettes ~ A Hospitality Club

Romans 12:13
Pursue the practice of hospitality.

The Kitchenettes is all about teaching and mentoring young girls in the art of hospitality. It is so much more than cooking or doing domestic tasks ~ hospitality is the very heart of God ~ a demonstration of pouring His love onto others. This group of young girls are learning the very nature and character of God as they serve people and sharpen their skills in homemaking.
