Strawberry Trifle

The Quintessential Summer Dessert!
This is my quick go-to dessert recipe for any occasion!
I love anything I can serve in my glass trifle bowl -
it is always a beautiful presentation and the
possibilities are endless!
Anything you can layer or stack can be
put effortlessly in this marvelous dish.

Strawberry Trifle
Pound Cake - cut into cubes (homemade or from your grocery store)
Whipped Cream
2 quarts Fresh Strawberries
2 pkg. Frozen Strawberries in Syrup (thaw)
*
Homemade Whipped Cream
1 quart heavy whipping cream
1/4 c - 1/2 c sugar
Place your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer until nice and cold.
Make sure your cream is very cold as well!
Pour cream into bowl and add sugar - beat with mixer until stiff peaks form.
Wala - delectable homemade whipped cream!
*
Reserve 7-8 fresh strawberries for garnish.
Slice the remaining strawberries and place in a bowl.
Add 1/2 c sugar and allow to sit until nice and juicy!
Mix thawed strawberries in syrup with the fresh ones.
*
In the bottom of your trifle bowl place a scoop of strawberries to cover.
Layer the following 3 times - ending with whipped cream on top:
**Pound Cake Cubes
**Strawberries
**Whipped Cream
Garnish with the remaining fresh strawberries.
Place in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to blend deliciously!
Serve chilled.

  14. I've tried to make a strawberry trifle cake once last year for Hanukkah, but I just soaked it in wine instead. Pathetic, right? I have to admit, it tasted disgusting. How can I pull off a really good strawberry trifle cake? Actually, any trifle cake would work. Thanks!
