Thrifty Tea Time Tuesday

it's all about the presentation...
and you can create a masterpiece for pennies!
~*~
I am enjoying a thrifty tea-time Tuesday today
surrounded by little inexpensive treasures!

a simple raspberry cream cake...
sliced & embellished with fresh berries & mint leaves...
then placed on an exquisite glass plate...

I have a passion for glass...
ok - I have an obsession
- but I am working on it -

well...working on finding more!

These beautiful glass pieces were all discovered

for pennies at the local Goodwill Store.

a glass bowl with etched fruit...
.50 cents

two little glass bowls with feet...
$1.75 total

two glass leaf-shaped plates...
.69 cents

a tiny glass saucer...
it matches my cake plate exactly!
.39 cents

a small glass teacup to accompany the saucer...
.50 cents

a perfect match...

Thank you for stopping by
and having tea with me today!

  1. Hi Concetta,
Your glass collection is very pretty! Some of it looks like Early American Prescut crystal. I especially like the pink pieces! Your raspberry cream cake looks delicious and very pretty too, I might add! Thank you for your lovely tea post and I hope you have a wonderful week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  5. Hello Concetta :) My goodness, you have an amazing collection of glassware! I have just a very few pieces of glassware; some pink depression glass that I keep in my antique side-by-side secretary. That cake looks simply delish!!

    Happy Tea Tuesday!!

    Warmest hugs, Brenda

  6. Oh so very pretty! I like your leaf shaped plates a lot. I've been looking at glass teacups a lot lately, they are so delicate. Like cut snowflakes. Take care.

  7. Concetta,
I LOVE your glass collection!! I just bought an identical leaf plate to use for the Fall. I think the glass is very elegant and can be used with any color scheme and looks stunning when flickering candle light is reflected off of it!

  10. Very pretty things, and you are right, presentation is everything. I am not good a knowing good glass from bad, however.
