Total Trust

Dearest Bloggy Family,
It has been quite some time since I have last posted -
many things have happened in our lives.

On October 7, 2011 my beloved mama went to be with the Lord.
We were all with her night and day in the hosptial.
She has always been a fighter and she always lived her life
to the fullest - she was more than a conqueoror in all situations.

Today is my mom's birthday - she would have been 65.
She was the most incredible person I have ever known - and
the more time passes the more I miss her and long for just
one more day to hear her voice or to hug her.
Happy Birthday Beautiful Mama!

  1. Oh Concetta, today would have been my mom's 89th birthday! She went to be with the Lord in April 2002. She was sick for probably 13 years prior. Please take heart in knowing you will see her again, and that they do watch over us and hear our prayers for them. ((hugs)) xo P.S. I am working on a post that I had hoped to get out by today, but probably in a couple of days. xo

  2. Concetta, My heart hurts for your loss. I wish the miles between us would dissapear so i could come take you out for a walk ans visit! I know you miss her and I can tell you I BELIEVE that she is still with you each & every day! You are making her proud with all you do for your family, community and faith! <3

  3. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Moms are special people and there aren't words to express what such a loss might mean to someone. I loved the pictures you posted with your heartfelt story and have missed your recipes all these months.

  4. Deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. May you feel God's peace.

  5. Hi Concetta, sorry to hear about your mum. I'm just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

  6. Dear Concetta,
I am so sorry to hear about your beloved mother. I meant to stop by here many times to see what you were up to. Please forgive me for being slack.
You have shared some wonderful pictures and you were blessed to have such a wonderful mother. God bless you and comfort you.

    Blessings and hugs,

  7. I'm sorry about your mom - she seemed like a very special lady and she was very pretty - you look a lot like her (based on the photos I see here) - I know there must be a hole in your heart - I'll pray for peace and comfort for you.

  8. Concetta,
I am so sorry for your loss. May the Lord be with you at this time. Many blessings and hugs to you.

The Kitchenettes ~ A Hospitality Club

Romans 12:13
Pursue the practice of hospitality.

The Kitchenettes is all about teaching and mentoring young girls in the art of hospitality. It is so much more than cooking or doing domestic tasks ~ hospitality is the very heart of God ~ a demonstration of pouring His love onto others. This group of young girls are learning the very nature and character of God as they serve people and sharpen their skills in homemaking.
