I Heart Pancakes

A lovely heart-shaped pancake!

These are sooooo adorable!
I have a little heart pancake mold that I used for the first time!
I made these delectable treats for my two daughters.
A yummy breakfast! So easy and so fun!

Look at this fabulous shamrock I made with my
heart pancakes - in honor of St. Patrick's Day!
Irish Blessings!

My children loved them!
Although, the baby did keep asking for Mickey Mouse Cakes.
I am sharing a delicious pancake recipe from Southern Living.

Buttermilk Pancakes & Buttered Honey Syrup

1-3/4 c flour

2 t sugar

1/2 t baking powder

1 t baking soda

1 t salt

2 c buttermilk

2 eggs

1/4 c butter

Combine flour and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl.

Whisk together the buttermilk and eggs.

Gradually stir buttermilk into flour mixture.

Gently stir in butter. (Batter will be lumpy.)

DO NOT OVER MIX!

Pour about 1/4 c batter for each pancake

onto a hot buttered griddle or skillet.

Cook pancakes 3 to 4 minutes on each side.

Serve with Buttered Honey Syrup.

Pursue the practice of hospitality.

The Kitchenettes is all about teaching and mentoring young girls in the art of hospitality. It is so much more than cooking or doing domestic tasks ~ hospitality is the very heart of God ~ a demonstration of pouring His love onto others. This group of young girls are learning the very nature and character of God as they serve people and sharpen their skills in homemaking.
